Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 9, 2026

BookYeah is a personal booking tool operated by Jon O'Neill (jononeill.dev). It is part of his MyToolShed projects. This page explains what information BookYeah handles when you use the public booking page or when Jon uses the signed-in owner tools.

Who this is for

  • Guests who open a BookYeah link to pick a meeting time.
  • Jon, the only account owner (sign-in by magic code to his whitelisted email).

What we collect from guests

When you book a time, BookYeah asks for:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Company
  • Any similar fields shown on the form (for example a short note), if present

We use this information to schedule the meeting, identify who booked, and send a confirmation. We do not sell guest information.

Google Calendar and Gmail

Jon may connect his Google account to BookYeah. When connected, BookYeah may:

  • Read calendar free/busy (and related calendar data needed to show open slots)
  • Create or update calendar events for confirmed bookings
  • Send booking confirmation email through his connected Gmail

Google account access is used only to run BookYeah for Jon's personal booking link. Guests do not connect Google. Jon can disconnect Google from the owner settings.

Confirmations

After a booking, BookYeah may email a confirmation to the guest and to Jon using the connected Gmail account. BookYeah does not require a separate third-party mail vendor for V1.

Owner account and agent access

Jon signs in with a one-time magic code sent to his email. He may create scoped API or MCP tokens so his own agents and scripts can check availability or create bookings. Those tokens are secrets. They should not be pasted into public chats. Jon can revoke them.

Public profile on the booking page

The public booking page may show a short bio and links assembled from Jon's public profiles only (for example public X, public LinkedIn, and jononeill.dev). It is not meant to publish private contact details.

Cookies and sign-in

BookYeah uses cookies or similar storage for owner sign-in sessions and normal site operation. Guests do not need an account to book.

Data retention

Booking details are kept so Jon can run the meeting and keep a record of who booked. Calendar copies also live in Google Calendar under Jon's Google account. If you want a booking removed or corrected, contact Jon through the public channels below.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data is processed to operate BookYeah, including through Google when Jon has connected Calendar and Gmail. We may disclose information if required by law.

Children

BookYeah is not directed at children under 13. Do not use it to submit a child's personal information.

Changes

This policy may be updated as BookYeah changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when it does.

Contact

Questions about privacy or bookings: use the public contact options on jononeill.dev (and public LinkedIn or X linked from there). Please do not expect a personal phone number on this page.
